I was seeing a skincare line promising a simple 2 step routine, and that sounded.. pretty dang ideal for dipping my toe into skincare and getting into a routine in the long run. The system I was previously looking at had some questionable practices, and even more questionable price tags. Retinol always intimidated me. The purging. The sensitivity. The "don't go in the sun" instructions. It felt like skincare hazing.
Regular retinol is vitamin A, and it works, but it comes with a whole initiation ritual. Purging. Peeling. Sun sensitivity. The "don't use this near your eyes or during pregnancy" warnings. It basically tells your skin to speed up cell turnover so fast that it throws a tantrum first.
Bio-retinol does the same job through plant-based ingredients that mimic retinol's effects without triggering the same irritation response. Your skin gets the benefits of cell renewal, collagen support, and smoothing without needing a two week adjustment period or a dedicated SPF situation. Literally, I had no sensitivities or issues at all (and my skin loves being uncooperative).

My skin has been SO dry and uneven lately (I collect auto immune disorders) and this is actually moisturizing it, and for SO much longer than the last moisturizer I could almost stand.
