Girls, I am Sick & Tired!
An authentic, unfiltered, unedited (TIRED!) & slightly unhinged behind the scenes from a woman who refuses to take her own damn advice.
I am not one to complain… I actually LOATHE it (ONLY from myself, I’m happy to hear anyone else complain… mostly).
I was raised to believe that any complaint or emotion was, inherently, me being dramatic, which in my mind meant burden. So, instead I just pretty much neurotically try to figure it out on my own and keep it to myself until my next ADHD fixation wave carries me away. 🌊
And you know what? Thank the freaking stars for my adhd (blessing and a curse but… it’s MINE) because It truly does keep me from noticing so many other things. Like my collection of auto-immune conditions, my cptsd, anxiety, depression… not always things I’m actively wanting to fixate on you know? But girl, DAMN. If sometimes the universe doesn’t catch up with my stop-only-when-I-fall-asleep ass… and man is that a mind-fuck.
Anyone know what I’m talking about? The realization, the almost understanding of… man.. holy shit… that IS a lot for one person. Then the several follow ups of … that’s not all this one person is doing… and then the final realization of… okay now thats about 18 ppls worth of things… how am I STILL not feeling like I can have emotions about this?
Like… I ain’t no stinkin baby dammit!
So what if I run a whole internet universe with coverage across everything i can muster… so what if i’m posting 50 pins a day, who cares if i have hundreds of site pages, really cool products (at least I THINK SO), have curated products for every archetype across every category and a stinking quiz. Also CRY ME A DAMN RIVER that I have Hashimotos, palmoplantar psoriasis on my hands and feet and god knows what this fancy new 3rd freaking auto-immune condition is! And dammit my bones freaking hurt. It’s gd-lmnop inflammation nation up in this bitch!
Which is to say… being a human is NOT for the weak.
The ONLY reason I say allll that, is to say, if anyone of you told me that was the boat you were in… HOLY SHIT would I be like GIRL. Let’s think on this for a minute… and gain some new perspective, because that is TOO much!
This is EXACTLY the reason for archetypes.
Look your own eyes can’t see you as clearly as someone else, sorry, but facts. Same goes for you internal workings. I’d put money on the fact that YOU are the hardest on yourself, and (if you’re anything like me) you might actually be more likely to give grace to literally a bum on the street then yourself most days. (I’m working on it.)
Had this been another person saying all of this TO me, it would be clear. Your Hermit needs some attention. Your Shadow is struggling, look inwards. Your Empress needs a break… before you break.
So… anyways… like my father always says, “Do as I say and NOT as I do.” Take care of yourself. Rest when you need rest. Stretch, touch grass, read, take time for the parts within you that need it, and your weary soul. In the mean time, Imma get back to work. 😘

I don’t usually complain. In fact, I’m basically allergic to it. But somewhere between running Maiden Magick, posting 50 Pinterest pins a day, managing chronic illness, and spiritually surviving on ADHD hyperfixations, I had a tiny realization: holy shit… this might actually be too much for one person. A chaotic, honest, funny, and very tired Behind the Magick entry about burnout, archetypes, and learning to give yourself the same grace you give everyone else.
