What Is the Moonlight & Magick Tarot Deck?
Moonlight & Magick is a dreamy 78-card pastel tarot deck, the first of its kind from Maiden Magick, built for intuitive readers, collectors, and spiritual seekers who want their divination practice to feel as beautiful as it is meaningful.
This is a full traditional tarot deck, which means all 78 cards are here:
Major Arcana
Minor Arcana
Court Cards
Fully illustrated custom artwork throughout
No corners cut. No shortcuts. Just 78 cards of soft, celestial, emotionally immersive artwork that feels like reading by moonlight.
Why Pastel Tarot Decks Are Having a Moment (And Why This One Stands Out)
The pastel tarot aesthetic isn't just pretty for the sake of pretty. Soft color palettes genuinely change the reading experience. There's something about muted moonlit tones, dreamy florals, and gentle celestial symbolism that quiets the noise and invites you inward.
Moonlight & Magick leans all the way into that. The artwork throughout the deck blends:
Celestial and moon imagery
Soft pastel skies and romantic florals
Mystical feminine archetypes
Dreamy fantasy elements rooted in traditional tarot structure
It's beginner-friendly without being simplified. It's beautiful without sacrificing depth. That's a harder balance to strike than it sounds, and Maiden Magick absolutely nailed it.
Is Moonlight & Magick a Good Tarot Deck for Beginners?
Yes, genuinely. Here's why it works so well as a beginner tarot deck:
The imagery is emotionally intuitive. Rather than requiring you to memorize dense esoteric symbolism before a card makes sense to you, the artwork speaks first. You feel the card before you study it, which is exactly how tarot is meant to work.
The traditional structure is fully intact. All 78 cards follow the classic tarot framework, so everything you learn with Moonlight & Magick translates seamlessly to any other deck or resource you use.
The aesthetic actually makes you want to practice. This sounds small but it isn't. The number one reason people fall off their tarot practice? Their deck doesn't call to them. When your deck is this stunning, reaching for it becomes a ritual you look forward to.
The Themes Running Through Every Card
The deck was designed with specific emotional and spiritual themes woven throughout:
Intuition and inner knowing
Transformation and growth
Love and emotional depth
Courage and empowerment
Balance between shadow and light
Divine timing and synchronicity
Feminine energy and embodiment
Sound familiar? If you've spent any time with the Maiden Magick archetypes, you'll recognize the throughline immediately. This deck was built inside the same universe.
